Lucien Lavaillotte Lucien Lavaillotte (1898–1968) studied at the Paris Conservatoire with Philippe Gaubert. He played in the orchestra of the Paris Opera from 1929 to 1962, serving as principal flute for the last seven years. He was also a member of the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra, including 20 years as principal flute. Vivaldi: Concerto Op. 10 No. 3 ‘Il Gardellino’: Allegro (last movement). Unidentified orchestra conducted by Edvard Fendler. Recorded 8 June 1939.
